Hi everyone! IT'S AN EXCITING DAY TODAY. A while ago on Twitter, I asked if people would be interested in joining in on a writing prompt. I would find a random sentence from a book, post it, and we would all use it as a prompt. People seemed keen and so ... I've decided to …

I’m still SO excited that I finally own this beautiful book! (Thanks to Ben @thatfibrolife for a fab valentines present 💁‍♀️) . I love the webcomic so much, and to be able to read Nick and Charlie’s story in a physical format is just too much 🥰😍👬 . @aliceoseman’s writing in general is just so excellent, I love how relatable all her characters are, and the dialogue is so authentic. Also the fact that she’s essentially my age is just incredible. I really look up to her as a writer. . Have you read Heartstopper? Do you love it as much as I do? What author do you look up to?
On Monday, I went to @princecharlescinema to see @hankgreen in conversation with @hollybourneya and it was bloody great. . Hank is so funny in person and it was just such a laughter-filled evening. Holly’s questions were also really great and made of a very interesting evening! I’ve written up the experience on my blog so go and check that out. (Link is ofc in bio) . . Are you going to any book events this year? Come chat in the comments! Book events are one of my fave things to go to ☺️
Happy #sundayfunday everyone! Here’s another picture from yesterday - if you squint, you can see the books are all standing on my Marauders Map puzzle 🤓 I have a very chill day today. I’m heading to Ikea to pick up some home bits (I love ikea so much!), and then me and @thatfibrolife are going book shopping. As a belated Valentines, we’re going to pick and buy a book for each other ☺️ . What are you up to today? Do you have any exciting plans?
I had so much fun taking pictures today - it’s genuinely the first time I’ve had any motivation to take some in a while so it was really nice. I really like this one! 🌈🏳️‍🌈 . Lately, I’ve found myself scrolling through Instagram a bit less, and instead scrolling through people’s blogs on the Wordpress Reader. I’ve found it so inspirational and am getting a lot more out of it. Everyone here on #bookstagram is so lovely, but sometimes it can feel a bit de-motivating and exclusive. . Does anyone else get like this with Instagram, or other platforms sometimes? . Do any of you have Wordpress blogs? I’d loved to follow you so I don’t miss your new posts, and so I can have a scroll through! Leave your blog name below if you do ☺️
Happy #galentinesday everyone! So many of you make such excellent content, and you inspire me boundlessly. Sometimes when I’m in a lull, seeing others doing their best motivates me to be my best too. So thank you!💛 . Anyway, now that the emotions are all out in the open, I have a new book review on my blog *gasp* and I’d love it if you take a read ✨☺️ . I bloody loved this book. Genuine Fraud by @elockhart is definitely unique, and I was so gripped the whole way through. I can safely say that I’ve never read about a character like Jule before ... ever! Link in bio for my full review and more deets 👀 (P.s. how beautiful is my pin I got from my birthday 😍 - it’s from @jellybuttonjewellery)
I’m so excited for this time next Monday as I’ll be back in London, ready and raring to see @hankgreen at his UK book event by @piccadillywaterstones. Hank’s book was fantastic, and I’m excited to hear him talk all about it. . The Vlogbrothers and Nerdfighteria have meant a lot to me for years. It was the first online community I really became involved with. I’ve made such good friends through that community and it always means a lot when I get to interact with that community IRL. It always feels like you can breathe as you’re surrounded by your people! 🤓✨👏 . What online communities are you in? Have you ever had the opportunity to interact with those communities in real life?
