Hi! Long time, no speak. It’s been well over a month since I last posted on here, I really felt like I needed a break. I’ve been trying to relax and not put so much pressure on myself to post for the sake of it. It got to the point where chatting about books wasn’t fun. I couldn’t get past some aspects of bookstagram feeling so fake, and it was really getting to me. . But I felt the pull today to make a post, so here I am! It’s completely no commitment, but I missed it and I wanted to say hi! I’m currently in Edinburgh, as my sister graduated yesterday and it’s been a really nice few days. . I’m currently reading Red, White & Royal Blue and I’m loving it. It’s the exact kind of cheese I needed right now. . How have you all been? What are you currently reading? Come chat in the comments!
I’m so excited for the video I’ve just posted! Bit of a different one, but thought it would be fun! it’s a “Come Charity Shop Shopping with me” video! I wanted to find some new autumn clothes and my first port of call is always charity shops! I’m in love with this dress I found, it’s so autumnal and comfy. Link in bio to see what else I found! . Do you shop in charity shops/thrift shops?
Oh my god, so I have *literally* just finished this book. Oyinkan Braithwaite has become my new auto-buy author. This is her debut novel!! Imagine being that bloody talented, holy shit. This book was honestly incredible. I’d heard so many good things about it, and it really delivered, like I finished in it in like 2 days. I can honestly say I’ve never read a book like this! And what an intriguing title, right? Look out for my review at some point, but honestly rn I’m just floored. . What’s the most recent book you completely fell for?
Happy Sunday everyone! I just got back from a body balance class which was an excellent start to the day. And now I’m excited for Ben’s family to come over and play board games. What are you up to today? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s also the final day of the #spookathon, which has gone interestingly 😂 (I haven’t read a lot this week lol). I think I’m going to get started on these ones soon - especially With The Fire On High. It sounds incredible and I can’t wait to read it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What book do you want to get to before the end of the year? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ (📸: inspired by @sarahschapter)
Here’s the first book I’m reading for #spookathon. I’m enjoying it so far, but I need to sit down and really sink my teeth into it as it hasn’t fully got me hooked quite yet! I definitely need to read more thrillers and mysteries though, as I’m really enjoying the whodunnit aspect. . Do you have any thriller or mystery book recs?
Happy Sunday! I’m so excited for this years #spookathon - here’s my tbr. I’ve just posted a video going through the books and challenges too so be sure to head over and give it a watch 👻🎃 . Are you taking part in the spookathon? I’m definitely not going to be able to read all these books - but I like to pick lots so I have options and don’t feel forced into reading something. #lifeofamoodreader . Are you planning on reading any spooky books this autumn?
